Interested in 20th century post-war cities? Modernism, Manchester & Music?
OMI is pleased to welcome Jack Hale and Eddy Rhead, the founders of Manchester Modernist Society and The Modernist magazine. They will give their view on Manchester’s post-war cityscape and its modern architecture. Afterwards musician and writer Mark Ritsema focuses on the unique relationship between Rotterdam and Manchester during the seventies and eighties. The music from the legendary Factory Records label connected both cities, at the time of bleak and inspiring industrial wastelands.
Join us for an evening with presentations, beers and Manchester music by ClublePOP, on Friday 3rd of March, at 8 p.m.
The Modernist Society is dedicated to celebrating and engaging with twentieth century architecture through publishing, events and exhibitions.
